SARS!

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome

Panic and turmoil have developed worldwide over this new, highly contagious, disease. News about SARS is in the headlines everyday now. Airplanes, cruise ships, hotels and resorts are empty. A market for SARS prevention kits has developed overnight. Do you have fear and apprehension? Have you bought your face mask and prevention kit? Are you staying at home and not socializing anymore? No hugging and absolutely no kissing in public ever again...

Here's a great article written by Dr. Jon Brooks, the founder of "Our Health Co-op", a very popular web site on the Internet. Click on this button and read what Dr. Jon has to say...

I have no fear... in fact, I've made a reservation up in Santa Cruz for early next month for a short vacation at the resort to enjoy the beauty and relaxation of that area. What a great opportunity! Although I'm paranoid of crowds, I would consider traveling now and possibly taking that cruise that I,ve been fantasizing about. I figure that the odds of contacting SARS is about one in a megazillion...

Here's my reasoning... Considering the numbers involved, the SARS scare is mute compared to a real runaway epidemic, such as cancer in the United States. Over 1500 people will die of cancer this and every day here at home. There is no reported cases of SARS in the United States. There's a few cases in Toronto, Canada but the experts are already getting a handle on the cause and methods of contamination (door knobs & human waste). Most importantly, I speculate that I am probably immune to this virus disease as I am most others. I've discussed this with several medical practitioners that are involved with Pau d'Arco tea that conclude the same.

Letters, E-mail and telephone calls...

I've talked about Thelma Watley, from Monteagle, Tennessee before. She is the retired registered nurse that prepares the tea and dispenses it to those in need. She has been involved in this pursuit for well over a year now. She has many amazing reports and stories about her experiences with the tea. Her story of her own grandson is quite heartwarming. In her last letter she stated that one of her acquaintances had been drinking the tea to treat his cancer. Amazingly, it first cured his diabetes!

I also received one report from one gentleman that the tea cured his asthma affliction... I have been communicating with another gentleman whose father is in a hospital in Japan. The chief doctor is familiar with Pau d'Arco tea and would like to prescibe it for his patients. He states that he cannot afford to purchase the tea locally because the price is $800 per pound! I sent him 10 pounds of the tea and requested any comments that he could offer. The son of the patient recently departed to Japan to visit his father and said that he would give me a report when he returned.

Continually receive many positive reports...

How about them Texans!

George W. and the Dixie Chicks
Love 'em all...

What war? The recent military action in Iraq can hardly be classified as a full scale war in my humble opinion. It was a three week police action... and now the world is at peace with the benevolent nations establishing democracy and new economy resources for the citizens of the small nation to rule themselves. The terrorist nations have become more humble after witnessing the overwhelming might and will of the United States. Suddam, the evil one, is gone... dead or alive, he will not appear again...

Military technology has advanced to an amazing degree over the past ten years. It only took half the amount of troops to overwhelm the the Iraqi army as it did in the last (unfinished) Iraq war. The coalition commanders simply lined up their 30,000 military vehicles and weapons and rolled into town (Bagdad). Our greatest embassadors, the military fighting men and women then won the hearts of the nation.

President George W. Bush will certainly be honored as one of the most perceptive and brave leaders ever to occupy the White House. He accepted the unimaginable responsibity to take action in the face of worldwide protest to protect and defend the freedom loving nations throughout the world. We are blessed, indeed...

I love them Dixie Chicks! They are certainly one of the most talented country music groups to hit the airways in the last ten years. They sure got a lot of press for their off-handed remark about our Pres... forget it! I'd sure hate to be held responsible for every bad chosen remark that I have ever made in my lifetime. It's totally insignificant... We're Americans... We have earned our right to make stupid statements. Yeah, I sure do love them Dixie Chicks.

That's just my opinion... I could be wrong...
